One English couple we met were wearing a Bromo hat they had bought and the guy was still asking them to buy a hat and they were going "but I've bought one, see I'm wearing it" haha. The hotels were high up ontop of a steep hill that went down to the volcano land. It looked like a barren desert with the volcanoes looming out of it in the middle, like a scene from the moon. ... ever seen. It's hard to describe the feeling that you get, when you're standing in a place where you are the only one for miles. Maybe it was the fact that only a select few of us made this trek, only a select few had earned this view, but it was incredible.

In order to get back from our jungle campsite to our home base, ...

... 8217;t care what we were going to see, it could have been England winning the World Cup, Newcastle winning the league, anything, I really didn’t give a ****. All I wanted to do was sleep! It was one of those moments when you’re so tired you feel physically sick. Laura turned on the lights and the sight of the bed sheets was startling enough to bring my eyes back to life.

We dragged ourselves out and into the pitch black where we jumped into one of ...
