... to visit some family members on the other side of town. He wanted his daughter to have a close relationship with them . So we where walking from one house to another to say hello. In every house I would be fed with mangosteen while the family was talking to each other. While the father went to the mosque for prayers I had a surprisingly honest talk with the daughter. She was not as religious as her father and did not ...

I didn't have my dinner yet, because I had the experience that busses stop regularly on the way to eat. But this driver was in a hurry and stopped only once, at 4.30 in the morning...so I had a chocolate bar for dinner that I found in by bag. The trip went fast because I could sleep well on the reclining chair. In Bukittinggi I officially crossed the equator (my first time :))! ...

... an elephant trek with my birthday money. We walk down towards the river and instantly spot the elephants, it's great seeing them so close up. They're brought down to the river and they hold trunks to tails as they walk down. Next is toilet time, and on cue all 8 elephants wee, then the trainers, called mahout's 'assist' them to have the biggest number 2's we've ever seen!
Moving on, the elephants then have a swim and it's so great to see them sink down into the water ...
