    Hotel with a view

Clean, well sized rooms with balconies. Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, great views of the hills, swimming pool (quite cold, but you can warm back up in the sun). Located about a twenty minute walk from the city centre, it's in a quiet area surrounded by lots of other hotels/restaurants/cafes. We quite enjoyed our stay here!

    Run down hotel

Unfortunately the management staff are not very helpful. Although the pool is nice the whole hotel needs some work and a fresh coat of paint. Our room had an ant problem, it looked old and smelt musty. The included breakfast is poor, no egg (which is normally found in hotels across the country) or Indian option. Overall we were a little disappointed with this hotel. The only redeeming factor is the restaurant, the staff are nice and the food portion size and price is excellent.

Not one of the better hotels we have stayed in.
But the beds are clean, modern toilet and food in the restaurant was quiet nice.

A really nice hotel for those on a budget, 5-8 mins walk from the main market area. He pool is like manna from heaven after a hard morning's shopping too.

Another early morning train ride, followed by another hourlong car drive brought us to Pushkar. We're arriving for the tail end of the infamous Pushkar camel festival.. where more than 200,000 people come to city, bringing with them more than 50,000 camels, horses and cattle! So needless to say, there are camel, camels everywhere! We check in to …

... Jawahar Niwas is a stylish retreat for a backpacker, but at 200 rupees to spend the day swimming there, we couldn't say no! It was great to take a step back from the erratic wildness of India and our Holi experience and have a relaxing catch up with Jake and Lara. I hadn't seen either of them for two months and I wouldn't be seeing them for at least another four months! Another fantastic surprise to come across in Jaisalmer was Zoe Galloway! My family-friend but essentially sister ...
