Saw Mykonos and it's lights glide past at 2.00 am when we got up to look out our balcony! Slept well and awoke at 5.30 to see the sunrise over Patmos as we dropped anchor. Buffet breakfast on the stern deck and onto a tender to the little port. Here we boarded the bus and up to St.John's Monastary atop the highest hill on the island. Built like a fortified castle to repel pirates about the 10th century the monks could pour boiling oil down ...

Our relatively inexpensive hotel room is perched right over the Aegean Sea. Joanne loves watching the intensely ...

We spent the morning on Ikaria, an island untouched by tourism. It was so nice to wander in a village seeing the locals just doing their day-to-day chores, not trying to sell things to tourists. It felt 'real'. In the afternoon we headed for Delos and put the sails up for the first ...

      We're here...

... us. WOW!!! I'm not sure how our guide is going to make this work. I am accustomed to traveling with groups half this size. Dinner was a buffet of Greek foods. I quickly found I am familiar with Americanized Greek food...their cheeses are very pungent, everything is green with olive oil. Students already asking where the ranch dressing is.....
