... were warned by some Spanish walkers that the path ahead was too dangerous to continue along. We thanked them but carried on walking as far as we could. The danger point was a wide patch of snow that was too steep to try and traverse. We stopped for lunch and admired the amazing view of one of Spain’s highest waterfalls, the Cascada de Cotatuero at over 200m high.

We retraced our steps and savoured our last views of the Spanish Pyrenees for tomorrow we head to ...

... information office. The lady was extremely helpful. I think we must have been her first tourists of the day. She spoke excellent English but very fast and very heavily accented so we had trouble following her at times (although not as much as we would have had if she spoke Spanish!!). She had lots to tell us and about 40 minutes later we emerged from the office, heads spinning and clutching lots of leaflets.

At least we know what we are doing ...

... Knees were hurting all the way down the other side :((( but the calves aren't so sore today :))). It then became a pretty walk through a few deserted towns, but very clean and pretty. We lunched in Uterga - which seemed a great idea, but wasn't feeling crash hot by the end of the day. We stopped in Obanos and took off our shoes for a while before the last walk of the day into Puente La Reina.
