Rest day - only 12km today. I've been walking with some Canadian pilgrims and it was another 20km to the next town with services, so we decided to stop in Arres. Beautiful tiny village!! A bit of writing and then Back to the walk into Santa Cilia. Sweet tiny village right next to the river. A very old church sits at the towns edge where the sun set over the river and the Pyrenees Mts and ...

They are taking a siesta during the fall! Grateful for my new pilgrim ...

... A wonderful display, with the sky full of mixed birds at the same time. And it went on for an hour. A great experience. And the views from the top of the ruined castle were stunning. It's a pretty place but not particularly quiet. The church bells ring (thankfully, not all night) and it's not at far from a main road. But the surroundings are stunning. Now we are off to Bagneres de Bigorre. It says that this is a town with a Basque feel. The feel of the aire was more deserted ...
