    ... the famous Mannequin pis!

    There was a great summer atmosphere with on curb stalls (RK indulged in snails - yum!) and many enjoying a late summer evening. Brussels was a picturesque start to our European travels with ornate buildings and Guild houses on the market square and of course, the Hotel d'Ville...... much nicer than RK's last visit in 2005 over a public holiday. ...

    ... hour to get enough energy to get out and wander into Leuven. It was only a 10 minute walk, but it appears to be the only place in this part of Belgium with a hill. Typical. I had done some research of restaurants as I hadn't really eaten much since breakfast other than some snacks.     ... I love love love my new lady gaga like heels, they did not agree with the European cobblestone that I am not accustomed to walking in. Lesson learned I'll stick to flats from here on out.     And, perhaps, no, definitely, the most astonishing thing to happen was to find out that Todd, a friend from diving Utila, was going to be in Brussels during the 6 days I was there! Incredible.
