    From there we walked around checking out the Bourse, tiny Rue des Bouchers, Jeanneke Pis (the girl version) and Galerie Saint Hubert. We stopped for lunch at one of the many restaurants along Rue des Bouchers to have mussels and stuffed crab and I had a nice Belgian beer.     ... hour to get enough energy to get out and wander into Leuven. It was only a 10 minute walk, but it appears to be the only place in this part of Belgium with a hill. Typical. I had done some research of restaurants as I hadn't really eaten much since breakfast other than some snacks.     ... this museum-free Monday, and a collection of small micro brewed beer was sampled. Winner of the bunch was the Imperial IPA from Anderson Valley, with honorary mentions to Heretic's Evil Cousin. The Kriek, however, remained largely undrunk; beer is made from hops, yeast, water and barley/wheat, not from cherries.

    ... that was on every corner was Belgian chocolate shops. So of course, we had to get some of that too. The best part: free samples! We could sample the chocolate fountain for free and a whole bunch of flavors. It was so smooth and good. My taste buds were pretty happy!
