... spending a night, what a pity.

Another highlight of the little old town is Belfry. Please be careful, if you are not fit, since you have to catch your breath while climbing up to the top of the tower. And the spiral stairwell is narrow and steep.

We spent one night in hotel Duc de Bourgogne, fortunately, we came here in the low season. Sinnce the room at this hotel ...

And I would walk 500 miles.....

... br> We then went search of the church that houses the via of the blood of Jesus, but when we found it we decided that it couldn't possibly be the real blood of Jesus and that we didn't want to pay 4€ to see it. A missed opportunity. We did however watch a band playing outside a nearby museum.
When we had had enough of watching bands, ogling chocolate shops, visiting lace shops and playing dodge-the-cycle we headed back for Jo to do her tower climb. Thwarted again! ...

... It was quite the experience as all the patrons sitting outside got quiet just to listen to this ****** off man screaming inside.

After a filling dinner, we went to a very cool bar called T' Poatersgat. We had read about it in our guide book. It was an underground bar whose entrance was a door embedded in a church wall.
