      Last day on our own!!

Woke up to a very cloudy day (the garua effect?) and, after breakfast, we walked down to the Miraflores beach which only took about seven minutes. Not a very pretty beach, in actual fact. But a large, modern shopping area overlooking the beach would obviously be popular in summer and we spent a wee while, looking at the shops there. Walked back to our hotel, showered, packed and checked out and then took a taxi to the Huaca Pucllama - a large ...

I struggled to sleep again last night between the hours of 4 and 7am (the same as the previous 2 nights) so was very tired when my alarm woke me at 8.30. You'd think after all my travelling I'd be used to coping with jet lag by now! Anyway, at the airport, after checking in, I exchanged my remaining Chilean Pesos for Peruvian Nuevo Soles. With 2 hours to kill before boarding my 19th flight of my travels so far, I tasked myself ...

... invited us to Lima, our mentors, and our "Peruvian Parents." When our children talk about them, they still say, "Grandma Florence and Grandpa Gordon."

That evening Jim began a four part series on 2nd Peter to whet people's appetites to study the Emmaus Course "2nd Peter and Jude" and other courses. Fourteen new students signed up to study the Bible with Emmaus courses in one day! Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights between 100 and 120 people from 9 ...
