... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city I´d love to visit once a year minimum.....
Nice, Provence, France tilman... Not only have the donations received already far exceeded my expectations, but the kind words and general interest and support that I have received have been amazing. So thank you all. It is all very much appreciated and I can't believe that between us we really will change these little lives. It is my motto here in Antibes, but this is the ultimate "think globally; act locally ...
Nice, Provence, France marianm... at the Monte Carlo Casino. Mark was super keen on feeling like James Bond. He so wishes he was James Bond. It is kind of odd because once you are in the casino it is really quiet and not busy at all. Mark won about 300 euro so we were happy.
We checked out the start and finish line of the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, along with the famous hairpin turn. Even the locals fang it around that corner.

... for 6.50. Being slightly poor after Paris, we gladly took advantage of this offer, however there's only so many mini pizzas you can stomach.
The next morning, we mastered the tram service quickly and loved listening to the recorded messages that announced which stop we were at.... so chic and cute. Dani was geared up for some serious sun and sand - I mean this is the Riviera after all. She was a little disappointed when we walked down to the beach and discovered that instead of sand ...
Leave from nice on the Chemins de fer de Province (diesel train) to Touet-sur-Var. And then the steam train to Entrevaux, city with amazing views. On the way back a quick stop in Puget-Théniers.
My camera battery died once we hit Entrevaux so no photos :(
... out of that damn hell-hole of a garage. I have to admit that I was slightly concerned during the last few days of my stay in France as I worried about what I would be charged upon returning the car, but at least one employee of Hertz at Nice airport is an absolute legend because when we returned the car he informed me it would normally cost 200 euro but that this time he would ignore.
Fayence, Provence, France julesjb...
... abilities, and even though they attempted to cram me in a room with 10 other scalawags. all could not bear to be lessor pirates then I. and I was left to my own devices in the massive wing of the place. Nice was a worthy stop over for a pirate of my age and ability. but now I must be on, for I hear their is a certain tower in a small village in Italy called Pisa. I think that if I capture a picture of it going down, I shall make millions. Legally none the less.......
Nice, France toonkWe've just come to the end of the second of three long treks in the trip. France may not look so huge on the globe, but it takes quite a while to go from one corner of the country to the complete opposite, even with modern, high-speed rail! From St. Malo this morning we had to catch an early train out to Rennes, from where we transferred onwards to Paris Montparnasse. In keeping with our other two entrances into the city, we then had to negotiate the metro to get to ...
