Two hours in Andorra and sore feet

... place on the way called Nuria. It’s a ski resort in the winter set in this beautiful valley and is reached by an old rack train from a town called Ribes de Freser. I got to Ribes in the evening, found the station and managed to get a timetable. The local council didn’t mind campers in the Sports centre car park so that’s where I happily stayed for two nights. The train was a fabulous experience, it started off fairly tamely as we made our way up ...

... all sorted so we could shower. Very important! !
In cafe now trying 2.50 pint for research purposes.
The frontier with Spain is just at edge of Andorra la vella and its a long way to Spanish coast up and down many mountains. You would want good brakes and not be scared of sheer drops at edge of road.
It must be beautiful during skiing season but I would recommend it in Summer too they have a lot of building crammed into gaps between the hills. ...

... the mountains to Andorra, the roads were windy and steep, and at times it felt like you were driving into a ski field. There were tunnels through the mountains and still a little snow on the ground.

Upon arriving into Andorra we had to stop and pay a toll for the use of the tunnel and at the toll booth we were given a red rose ( don't know why - couldn't understand a word the man said) but I smiled and waved...

Andorra is a tax ...

We left this morning on time from The Midi Pyrènèes and now headed for 'the' Pyrènèes! About 300km but we knew the last part of the roads would be windy and slower so we gave ourselves 5hrs for the trip. The Motorway through Toulouse and down to Tarascon was fast and efficient. We stopped their for lunch as it was a beautiful town right between the cliffs at the start or the Pyrènèes. After lunch ...
