We got to Cotonou mid afternoon and I went with Talbot to the clinic in order to translate for him. Two hairy motorbike rides later I was back near the resort. I bumped into Brittany and Jareb so I hopped off the bike and had a late dinner with them. Three hours of WIFI. Yippee. A storm, not yippee. Wet tent :(
Later that night we arrived separately in Ouidah, a small coastal town set next to a giant lagoon. Its cobbled roads and laidback vibe gave it a very french feel to it, yet at the same time it reminded me of Hoian in Vietnam... We woke up the next morning to an almost uninhabited beach front that stretched as far as the eye could see. Although the water was pretty rough the hotel had a pretty amazing salt water ...
