Our plans were to go from Bratislava, back south to Budapest and then make our way back up towards Spain.

What I have been leaving out of the blogs is the ins and outs of weekly travel. Sometimes apartments aren’t ready, sometimes we are on the road for a day or more - basically it doesn’t just line up to go from one apartment to the next. So that means hotel stops a day here - a day there - then the apartment for a few days, then another hotel and ...

I did a whole lot of research yesterday which counted for nothing today as we completely changed our plans. I was going to take Kerry to some ice caves and the pretty town of Helstatt but it meant a bit of back tracking and we decided to push on towards Croatia. While sipping my coffee, a girl walked in and started taking to the bar tender how her and a bunch of people rented bikes to lake Bohiji. She raved about how beautiful it was, so obviously I was sold. I raced down to the bus stop to catch the 9:20 bus, but before boarding grabbed a bag of grapes as a snack. ...

... if not a bit cheaper. We chatted for a while and took a number of photos before saying farewell and heading back to town to see if Margs servicing had also been successful. Once again there was no need for worry as she looked lovely and discussed flying the young Austrian hairdresser to Australia when she needed her hair done. We decided a cruise along the Drau River was a nice way to conclude our final day in Villach before heading on our way once ...
