    ... hit the bike path in the heat. We made our way up the coast along the bike path adjacent to the beach. We made good time until we had a little trouble attempting to exit Cervia. Took a little while, with a slight diversion - OK, we got lost! Our path lead us onto the A14, a highway rather than on our minor road.     ... still surrounded by 9km of ancient walls. The Castello Estense in the centre of town is surrounded by a moat and is complete with drawbridges. The streets are quite cobblestones making riding the old noisy bikes pretty teeth chattering, but the kids loved it and it is such a good way to get around.     ... the Villa Necchi Campaglio. An Art Deco building by architect Portaluppi. Afterwards I wandered over to Expogate. I left Milan for Bologna the next day where I met Elizabeth and Phillip for a couple of days. Elizabeth introduced me to her oldest friend Lesley.
