I seriously think this stuff only happens to me.

... it might help. Let's just say, nothing made it taste worse than how it started. 13 euro later I was still starving. (I could only force down 1/4 of the pasta.) I stopped in a market but couldn't find anything microwaveable. And being in a hotel rather than a hostel my cooking devices open to me are limited. I finally stumbled upon a pizza place. Thank goodness, you can't screw up pizza, right?

I order a 'birra' which I later recognized was idiotic since that's ...

You South American folks are good people.

... nor American helped me.

Rather than just going back to the train station and sitting there for four hours, I stopped in a little Argentinian restaurant. Knowing Gaby, I was well versed in the fact that I should check the menu before sitting down. The Argentinians (and Uruguayans, who really fed Argentina everything their famous for, right Gaby?) are big meat eaters. But, they had pasta on the menu. Hurray.

The waiter was an older guy that found it amusing ...

a day of driving...

... and never did get us to the park. By this time we were pretty well done with this area. It was getting late, we never did make it to the park so we decided to cut our losses and head back to Burriana Beach. We decided the only thing that could salvage the day was if the Thai restaurant was open. We got back at 8:45pm and hooray it was open. We had a great meal with some good wine and stayed a good while chatting with the owners and another couple from Holland and France.

Day 46: Death of the innocent goat.

... the day from Olly: "We came down here to see what it would be like to sleep here Chris. We the discovered its the kind of place that goats get brutally masacred. Therefore, Its not a good place to sleep, is it." Despite Ollys compelling arguement the thing that changed my mind was the sketchy guy the kept cycling near us. When he returned with more friends to look at us I thought F**k this, lets do some night riding. The decision was further reinforced when we left because we ...

Back to San Jose

Returned to San Jose. Next day drove around to the town of Cabo de Gata, saw the salt-pans, went up the the "Cape", saw the incredible beach of Cabo de Gata, had great lunch there, then went around to the beach at Monsul. Eventually decided I HAD to leave!!

Trip to Mini-Hollywood

... me €2.50 to park, I then paid an exorbitant €19 entry, and since it was getting on went and had an OK self-service meal - also over-priced. There wasn't much to see; a museum of old cinema projectors, old buildings, and a zoo. The latter was rather curious. I stayed around for the "shoot-em-up" show. About all that was worth it in an overpriced trip. As for the countryside, I was underwhelmed as it was nothing like as spectacular as the Copper Canyon in Mexico.

... and shoes. We found Lithuanian and Moroccan grocery stores, as the workers who pick all the vegetables come predominantly from these two areas, as well as from parts of Africa, making for an interesting mix of people in this agricultural town. We also found our way to Nijar, a historic town in the foothills selling mostly pottery and knick knacks, and then ended up lost on a dusty, fascinating mountain road in the middle of nowhere for about an hour, the only other living things being ...

On va un peu dehors et avec Flo, nous avons une discussion avec un marocain qui est pas très ouvert, mais gentil. Et voilà, on est descendues et il reste environ deux heures avant l'arrivée à Nador. On y arrive à 23h30, heure locale. 109980km au compteur.
