Far from lonely, but speaking spanish still takes quite a bit of effort and it's nice to disengage that part of the brain if only for a couple hours. Cafayate is a tiny town surrounded by mountains and vineyards. On the ride in you could tell they had taken advantage of their export's demand; I don't recall seeing any run down buildings or absolute poverty on the way in which is rare here. It was probably about 5 PM, too late to do any ...

... stuff but it was fun to delve deep into the small boutiques and open markets. We all came across a couple of gems and managed to haggle down the already ludicrously cheap prices. Rumour has it that Peru is the one for funky alpaca jumpers so we will hold out on that front till then. We managed to organise a mini bus tour up through the mountains visiting a few of the towns on our way. We were up bright and early and by ...

... vodka, redbull and something else (grenadine) called bloodbombs. Went with 5 loki's to town, they were going to hand out flyers for the 1year loki anniversary, it will be a big party tomorrow night, a mechanical bull, cheap drinks and loud music, bonfire, ... Sounds like fun. You can work here (for minimum 2weeks) and then you get free accomodation and meals, for 4days working per week. The handing out flyers part was very funny, they had outfits on! One was supposed to be ...
