... fresh salads was a delight!! We met a cool English couple, Stuart and Lizzie, that night who were from London, they recognised us from the hostel In Mendoza. Its a small world! With free flowing wine and asado we enjoyed chatting the night away!

... slept after her excitement wore off. Decided not to bother with the 50 peso a head wine tasting – we bought & shared a bottle for far less.

... that detour to Ischigualasto. This time we got to see the Toad, the Amphitheatre, and the Garganta del Diablo (or Devil's Throat) among others. Yep, these Argentinians aren't so imaginative with their naming (you'll notice the same name as the waterfall in Iguazu). You should see their road names. Identical in every town and city. To be fair I am down playing the scenery. It was again pretty spectacular with the Amphitheatre being particularly ...

ARGENTINA - bussing into the north

Took a 10hr bus ride into the Argentinean town of Salta. They told us to bring lunch for the ride - but Argentina doesn't let you bring any meat, dairy, fruit, veg or honey in. 10hrs of potato chips and muesli bars left us excited to seek out the famous Argentinian meat we've heard so much about. Delicious! Only stayed one night as our tolerance for dodgy hostels is wearing thin, and the wine region ...
