Off again and we arrived at our hotel hours later but again at a high enough elevation to be a cool climate. Me and Kirsty went to bed pretty shortly after arriving as we had been up since 2 and we leave at 1am for Ijen. 30mins later we were woken up by a rapping, rapping at ...

I handed over the money we owed him and then he ****** us over, increasing the price he'd told us yesterday and stood in the doorway saying pay it or he'll let the bus leave. Absolute ****er. So we paid and angrily got on the bus, total ripoff so so annoying. We didn't have a penny on us again. Its difficult to explain the extent of the next leg of the journey. HELL, is an appropriate word. We were on a nice air conditioned ...

... car park after dodging a couple of run away horses and our driver was no where to be seen? We were already behind schedule due to the missing Malaysians and if we didn’t get back soon the domino effect of missing this jeep would mean we’d miss our bus to Probolinggo, miss our connection to the ferry, miss the ferry and then the connection to Denpasar where a nice hotel was waiting for us, all of which we’d already paid for…
