A frustrating search for the Swiss couple’s hotel took another few depressing hours and we finally checked into the first hostel in sight at 5am and immediately crashed out until check out time. The ride to Malang was exceptionally mellow. Our non-English speaking driver calmly passed fruit-laden trucks after waiting for a painfully traffic clearing. We were greeted in Malang by more lovely tree-lined streets and choking traffic. After spending about an hour in the choking traffic we arrived at the ruins of Candi Singosari. ... in the morning I felt brilliant which is all that matters I suppose. Sumatra Day 4 We spent our last day in Bukit Lawang relaxing for the first time since leaving home.
