... 1 false start. But once they started racing, it was amazing! There were so many people, it was really hard to see, even being very close to the fence. The horses moved MUCH faster than in any of the trials! 1 jockey fell off on the first lap and another one fell off in the second lap. ... of the original statues of the cathedral by Giovanni Pisano. A picture on the wall shows where they were in the church. It also has the original Duccio stained glass window from the cathedral, which was moved here recently. At ground level, you can really appreciate how big it is.
