... half way up Mount Eden and had to walk the rest. On the bus, the tour guide took turns asking us questions about ourselves. When I told him I had quit my job to come to New Zealand and then Australia, he high fived me! The view from the top was absolutely stunning, definitely worth the walk! You could see out for miles so was a shame that the weather had started to turn because on a nicer day you would be able to ...

Day 16 - Mangawhai to Auckland

The plan was to be up early and down Geoff's Club for 9 holes before returning to Auckland but the weather was bad, real bad and we decided not to go. I have never played golf before and was 'acting the big I am' and quietly pleased it was raining.

The next day, Katrin and I returned the car, got a coffee, finished off the rum chocolate, and I left for the airport.

I've had the most amazing time here. The country is beautiful, the people are fantastic, and there are endless things to do. I hope that one day I can come back!

I'm actually writing this on the plane to Scotland, so I will be seeing you soon :) Dinner is coming now, so I'm off!

... We loved it. I (J) took the ‘Connect 4 Championship’, Nisha took the ‘Giant Jenga Championship’ so this left Giant Checkers as the decider. After a tense opening, both sides were equally matched until it ultimately reached a stalemate as both sides reached a point where we were just moving backwards and forwards with the same pieces. The ‘Ultimate Games Champion’ will have to be decided another time!

We made our way back up Queen ...
