... in Bruges. Caught a cab from the station through the old to our Hotel. Everything was like something out of a Christmas card or a painting. Amazing...except full of groups of old people milling slowly through the streets. ... frites and other local dishes, but I chose to go further into the side streets. I settled on Brasserie Forestiere, a modern yet cozy restaurant which didn't flaunt itself to tourists. I had to share a table since it was that busy (always a good sign). The menu is mainly salads, pastas and wok dishes - my Linguini Scampi was filling and nicely presented.

I spent one night in Kortrijk at my Grandmothers apartment she lived before being moved to the retirement home.
