      ... back to the Fun Park which had better snow and less busy than the Plateau. Joel found a shovel and he heaped fresh snow for us to mould. Never realised how hard it was too make a snowman! Fresh snow doesn’t stick well together, and we fought a losing battle. We settled for more of a pile of snow with a chunk of ice that I tried to shape into a sphere. Adorned with a pair of glasses, hat, scarf, gloves and lipbalm nose we decided it was as good as it got. ...

      ... and turns through the mountain with such force you feel the power of the water from each look out. What I found quite interesting is with all the power behind such a fall the end stream was relatively calm. Isn't that just like life in a sense, after major twists & turns we gratefully turn to cascading down into a calm stream. Instead of walking the path back to Lautenbrunnen we took the bus back. We returned to Murren in time to ship back to the states ...

      ... the terrain is on each side of the mountain, these side had a lot more trees, running water and country side. When I was done I went down to Lauterbrunnen to see the waterfall that was below where I was hiking.

      On top of hiking I met a lot of great people at the hostel that I went out with a few nights as well as Nick from hang gliding. Always nice to have a personal guide around town and be with someone who can actually speak the language. I can even say that ...

      ... that took all of about 15mins to cross the border and through the mountain to reach Brig where I then caught a train to Betten where I then got to Gondolas to reach Bettmeralp at 1950m. A car free village.

      What can I say, it is stunning here. Fabulous views of the alps, green mountain sides, cows with giant bells and of course swiss chalets. I am staying in the annexe of one of the hotels as it was half the price if I shared ...
