We had a lazy day in Ruggell, we all suffered a little jet lag so we just chilled a bit around the home. For dinner that night we were taken into Austria to a place called Feldkirch. We had to take our passports in case we were stopped at the border crossing. We went to a Castle in the town built over 300 years ago. The children were amazed and surprised on how cold it was. Inside was a restaurant that has been here for a very ...

Picked up our hire car this morning in Zurich - a VW Polo. After I got in the right side of the car I discovered the steering wheel was missing. I hope that makes the rental cheaper? ....oops wrong side. Once we worked out changing the gears with the right hand and to stop putting the wipers on instead of the indicators we arrived back in Wald at lunch. With our bellies full from a traditional hot lunch not dinner we ventured out. The car ...

Drove to Grindewald which was equally spectacular. There are just not enough words to describe the day we had.
We topped it off by a visit to Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg. No, that's not a swear word. This is the place where houses, barns, water wheels etc. were taken from different Cantons in Switzerland and reassembled ...

Cows Don't Have Back Up Lights Here, Just Bells

... if we can. Are trying for Interlaken. Will see if the pass is open.... or if we have to go the valley route.
      What a beautiful country!
Before I go I have to tell you about the cows without back up lights. The hills are so steep here that, in one place, we saw a cow actually back up the hill because if he turned sideways he would have been ass over teakettle down the hill. Even his big bell wouldn't have helped him in that situation

... in Zurich since I had to pass that way anyhow.... I realize I can't possibly do Zurich the justice it clearly deserves, but I also don't think I could've financially afforded to be there longer than 4 hours anyways!!! What a beautiful city! It was immaculately clean, had trams flying by left and right, and every street seemed to be like Michigan Ave., full of shops and rich people. Hell everyone has to be rich to live here I think. I tried ...
