... some photos and enjoy the view but didn't make low tide in time to head down and check out the archways along the coastline, in which it is known for.  We get back in the car and make the 2 hour drive to Santiago de Compostela. I manage to fall asleep and wake up with 20minutes to go. Aaron and John have a hard time navigating through the city as it's similar to Rhodes, where the town is surrounded by massive walls, and you cannot drive into it unless you're a resident. So we have ...

Our hotel Santa Rosa, ...

... But it was also necessary as from now on I get chucked out of my albergues at 8am so no more lie ins for me! Walked uphill and then when I got to the top somehow I had to go up again...and again. I have now discovered that the next four days walking are all up. Splendid! But enjoyed a sandwich my hotel landlady had made for me. Quite a straightforward walk, past some genuine pilgrim graffiti- you could tell this as entirely missing the usual sexual ...

... you have to say something different but haven't worked out what it is. Later on another empty path I met a chap walking the camino backwards. We stopped and 'chatted' (limited as he was Spanish) but turns out he is walking all over Spain trying to find work. Asked me if I knew if there was any in Escamplero - I had to admit I'd never heard of Escamplero until he pointed out I'd just walked right through it. Oh dear. Got to ...
