Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel El Ducado Lima

    Excelente ubicación

    from

Hotel sencillo, pero muy limpio y muy bien ubicado, muy cerca de Larcomar y pocos minutos andando del corazón de Miraflores.

    Great value in Miraflores

    from

My parents and I stayed at El Ducado in Miraflores after having previously roomed in downtown Lima. There is a huge benefit in staying in Miraflores in that you get to breathe the wonderful Pacific air, feel the coolness of the ocean breeze, and watch the lovely sunsets every evening. El Ducado is only a few blocks from the ocean cliffs and the popular shopping and dining center Larcomar. It is conveniently situated on block of Avenida Larco where you can shop and eat some tasty Peruvian dinners. You are also a few minutes away from Barranco which is a wonderful oceanside town.

El Ducado offers an excellent value for this prime location. For $65 a night we received a spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds. There is a tv and more importantly a small fridge to keep beverages. The price of the room includes a continental breakfast of juice, coffee and fresh rolls served next to a charming courtyard filled with native plants. There is also a computer available for internet use. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We greatly enjoyed our stay in El Ducado and in Miraflores.

Un hotel molto confortevole e pulito

    from

An very comfortable and clean hotel

    from

My husband and I stayed in a double suite . The decor was simple however, for the price you cannot complain. The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous. We also found that the provision of free transfer from the airport a real bonus a it can be quite disconcerting when one arrives in a strange country, not knowing the language and at 5.30am in the mornng. Taxis do not use meters in Lima!.Overall we were very impressed with El Ducador, for its comfort, cleanliness and quality service.

    Shop around for better

    from

We found the bedrooms and bathrooms somewhat small and musty. The furniture was basic and dated.

Service was generally polite and helpful. A continental breakfast was served in a pleasant dining area.

Beware of the 6% surcharge when using a credit card. Not all cards accepted.

You're paying for the Miraflores location. Shop around and you'll do better for the same or less money.

The surcharge on credit cards we only charge on discounted rates. Meaning, we can give a discount, but the room must be paid cash. Off course it is possible to pay with a credit card, but at a surcharge.

Our prices show to be very competitive, together with free pickup services, breakfast included, great location, etc. we offer value for your money.

    Great for the price!

    from

I was satayinf at the Best Western Embajadores in Miraflores Peru, I was getting charge about $90 dollars a night, when I arrived the service was great, but when I got to my room I was disappointed, I thought $90 dollars was too much for that I was getting. I was just leaving the Best western and Across the street I saw El Ducado Hotel, so I stopped by and talked to the recepcionist, I paid $40 dollars a night for a double, the room was just as nice as the Best Western, don't expect new carpet or beautiful linens but I think this hotel it's great for the price, and the location is safe, the continental breakfast was great, fresh papaya juice everyday, coffee and fresh bread.

The staff was great, always really friendly and I even got sometimes my continental breakfast brought to my room, what a treat, of course I give them a little extra tip, cause you supposed to have breakfast in the dinning room. They also offer a laundry service, you give then your clothes and the next day you get it nice and clean and it's inexpensive, they exchange dollars, they are very helpful.

Next time a go back to Peru, I for sure will stay here again. It's a great place !!

    Great location, great value

    from

The intimate El Ducado Hotel, located just three blocks from the stunning LarcoMar Shopping Complex and the elegant cliff top Cisneros Avenue, is reasonable hotel has an unbeatable location, close to everything that's going on in vibrant Miraflores. Rooms are moderately sized, excellent bathrooms, very comfortable beds and the rate of US$ 35.00 includes a continental breakfast. Some internal rooms have limited views, but all are quiet, even front rooms on Juan Fanning Street. Very hospitable staff.

    Very nice for the price

    from

Great service, lovely staff, breakfast included, clean sheets and room, concierge. we were on a tight budget and it was the nicest of all the 'less-expensive' hotels we stayed in. We were impressed enough to reserve it for our return to Lima several days later.

... doesn’t rain and you don’t get too hot. As we strolled around we soon found out the population of Lima love tennis, there were 2 huge tennis centres each with 15 clay tennis courts with 10min walk of where we were staying. We ate some awesome Aji de Gallina (Chilli chicken) a local speciality and then got stuck into some beers for the World Cup final. We managed to find an English style pub to watch it in which meant the commentary was ...
