We have been really happy with the hotels we booked. Breakfasts have been good and the rooms comfortable and clean. It's always a bit of a worry booking things online but so far so good.
This morning we were planning on a getting good early start to see Ephesus before lunch and be on our way. Unfortunately Kayla was not feeling well at all with …

A day of buses.......Then Pamukkale.

A travel blog entry by scwonderwoman

... a sudden, a young man about 35, walked up smoking a cigarette. Almost in a voice that I couldn't hear, he said, 'Lady,....I'm on your bus,....they left to go get gas.' What? Gas! Are you freaking KIDDING me??? He said that they made an announcement, but of course, I couldn't understand it. He said that it would be back in maybe 5 or 10 minutes, but would be parking in a different spot. ...

Ruins and Pools

After leaving the massive city of Istanbul we headed to Selcuk, home of Ephesus and the lesser-known St John's Basilica. Or stepping off a train at South Station in Boston and only exploring Chinatown... The run was nice and we saw some nice, old buildings and impressive statues. Max suggested this is the Jewish quarter. ;) We also found that the notion that when coming upon stray, Turkish dogs, they sometimes like to run with you for a bit. ...

The Four Seasons has worked out well for us. Yeah, the best part is the pool, but the rooms are more than adequate, the staff is nice and the food is decent and easy.
