The Four Seasons has worked out well for us. Yeah, the best part is the pool, but the rooms are more than adequate, the staff is nice and the food is decent and easy.

We have been really happy with the hotels we booked. Breakfasts have been good and the rooms comfortable and clean. It's always a bit of a worry booking things online but so far so good.
This morning we were planning on a getting good early start to see Ephesus before lunch and be on our way. Unfortunately Kayla was not feeling well at all with …

... area.It was here that we got our favourite shots and marveled at the simplistic beauty of mother nature. It was also here that Shaylee needed to remind Brendon just what to say in public. As we were we trying to take some photos, a couple of douchebags had stripped down and were getting into the pools, being both well signed that this was not allowed and also being a UNESCO World Heritage sight Brendon blew up and not only yelled at them to get out but also referred to ...

Today I found myself in quite a melting pot of Australians :). Although the tour to Pamukkale/Hierapolis was pretty heterogeneous (couples from Australia, India, Canada, and two guys from Singapore), the tour bus was decked out with Australian flags and a small koala bear keychain. Even my hotel has various homages to Down Under placed throughout the lobby, and I'm not even staying at one of the various "Wallabies" hotels around town. I never knew that so many ...

... But they were amazing days. We left Canakkale early as usual and were in Troy not long after. We beat the large hordes of tourists. After a walk around and the chance to take photos of the Trojan horse we were on the road again, crossing the Kaz mountains and stopping at an olive press museum - olive trees are everywhere and olive oil is an important industry for Turkey. After lunch we headed off to Pergamum - another ancient city perched high on a ...

  • We had no idea that tha huge ancient city of Hierapolis was part of this area. Need a full day to explore this amazing area.
  • Deriving from springs in a cliff almost 200 m high overlooking the plain of Cürüksu in south-west Turkey, calcite-laden waters have created an unreal landscape, made up of mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and a series of terraced basins given ...
