It was the perfect place to throw a tennis ball around, until an aggressive stray dog got involved and bit Jason on the bum. Other than Lopez Beach, the only other place we visited worth mentioning was when we hired a boat for the day and went to the 'Green Lagoon,' but mainly due ...

... side streets of villages to Mangaratiba. This is the town where you can get the ferry to Ilha Grande and apparently a bit of a quiet tourist trap in its own rights. When we arrived they had a festival on in the main square. So killing time we enjoyed a very expensive tourist priced meal (rubbery chicken, rice, beans and fries) and listen to the festival. We also have a lovely a lady take pity on us and let us use her phone to call our next hotel. We didn't actually ...
