... constant descent and we were soon passing Tibetan style farming villages as the vegetation became more prominent. Increasingly common were the roadside slogans erected by the road-builders. These included beauties such as: "After whisky, driving risky", "It's not a rally, enjoy the valley" and "Don't gossip. Let him drive"! By late afternoon we reached the Indus valley and finally reached Leh at sundown, bringing to an end a truly fantastic and memorable journey.

My flight to Nepal had already been booked and scheduled to fly out 2 days after the Dalai Lama’s appearance, so there was no time for retribution in India, but I at least have the tools I need to continue my travels in a more wholesome way. While a part of me would love to spend more time in McCleod Ganj and continue my learning with Tushita, as many of my classmates have chosen to do, I am super excited to see Nepal. Srinagar to Manali in 2 days
... with the 'auntie' - the owner of Yoga motors, everything got sorted and I finally bought a used tyre for 500 Rs fitted. From then on the trip was pretty much uneventful and after two days of riding I reached Manali (again). I will stay here for a couple of days, relax and climb a bit. Then I will start heading down to Delhi and maybe go to the mandatory Agra. The time flew so fast. Only one week to go before my flight back to the UK.
