... Climbing up and up the roughly cobbled path you get a feeling of imposing grandure from the massive structure towering above. Walking along fortified walls strung with archer keys I couldn’t help but imagine I was a medieval maiden. (And to help with this fantasy, the nearest shop sells period clothing for both you and your partner!). Cruising through the streets my imagined past was crushed by the tapas bars and screaming children. I ...

Raggamuffin for a week

... I was stuck without internet for the week though, so I could not look up the phone numbers for delivery services (yes, they do exist in France; they even got Domino's). But I got by just fine and I had a great time. I was only a 5 minute walk from the Tram that took me into town. There, I'd walk around the city, go see creepy Korean vampire movies, and meet up with old friends. I spent most of the week with my old friend Clement, which ...

Waste of a day

... BUT the info we got for the campsite was wrong and it was closed.. and the one next door too. So a rushed internet trip we found one, way out and got there just in time. France is full of red lights, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings!!!! Im SOOOOO over them all!!!!

Got to the campsite and there were no buses in town,. We were exhausted by then so fell into bed and decided to give up on that part of France and head to Lyon the next day...

... as well about my situation in specific is that I really don't have a care in the world. Time is meaningless, as every minute, every second, is just ephemeral. What matters is what those seconds and minutes amount to. A whole experience. Worrying about tomorrow is useless. When traveling, I had no idea where I would be in 3 days. 2 days was the maximum I would allow myself to look into the future. As a result, time ...

The last thing I expected

... at all times. I had a great time and made friends with a few of the team members.

While looking on the metro map I also met to other lyonians and while wating for the bus another person. I made myself a ton of new friends in one night! It was so exciting. I got home where I was happy to have arrived. It felt good to be back. Julie was asleep and the parents next door partying with the neighbors. I ...

1st night.

Well, finally - after a false start setting out to pick up friends from Pau airport a day early! - first night: moored up alongside the Canal du Midi, just south of Beziers. Some very noisy ducks for company... Bit of a gloomy one weather-wise. Rained last night, but forecast suggests brightening up gradually as day goes on. Slowing our departure from ...

... place, complete with some absolutely fantastic and innovative displays, but I'm not sure I'd bill it as a crypt since there was not only no semblance of, but really no reference to dead people, tombs, or the like, at all. Nevertheless, my euro and change were well spent, and I learned a little bit too. I decided it was about time to go meet Meredith back at the hotel, and sought out a crepe with Nutella for a pre-dinner snack on the way. We stopped by an ...

... aburrirme. Si, soy una cafetera, es verdad, pero comentarios como che bellu café ya no me bastaban. Sentia la necesidad de viajar. Me habian ensennado algo del mundo, pero yo queria ver mas. Y me escapé. Cafetera "Sono nata in qualche stabilimento, forse in China, forse a Forcella, non lo so. Ho vissuto i primi mesi della mia vita in una scatola. ... pedestrian crossings we have ever seen (nearly every shop has one coming out their front door) - The south of France has the Mediterranean (and the beaches that go with it), a fabulous climate and mountains along the coast which give you a unique landscape of the sea in front of you and mountains behind you. Favourite things about France (South): - Monaco (not technically France but it rocks) - The whole Cote d'Azur- it is not dissimilar to Perth in climate and landscape
