The night before
School's out, work is on pause and the cottage industry is closed for Christmas. It's finally here after months of waiting and we're all beside ourselves with excitement.
The bags are packed (with space to spare thanks to Annette's frugal choice of clothes) and we have even managed to find room for Ellie much to Esther's relief.
We've got so many exciting new experiences ahead of us crammed into a 7 week trip. South East Asia here we come!

... of calm. Malc upstairs going through his collection of sunglasses, probably, Dan playing with his camera, Catherine buttering her toast... As I had come in like a ninja, due to my martial arts background, I met Daniel in the front room and shared my stress for "running late"... Liverpool.....Yeh, Yeh, Yeh
... music, so we enjoyed it all. Mind you, we weren’t committed enough to take a Beatles Bus tour, which takes you to places like their childhood homes, schools, Abbey Road, Eleanor Rigby’s grave (yes, she really existed), Strawberry Field (a park), etc.
So, if I had to summarize our stay in Liverpool, I’d say that it was good for us because, in a way, we felt like we were in our 20s all over again. And who wouldn’t like that?

... which was quite interesting. The Liverpool accent is something you need to hear first hand it's bizarre throw in booze and you might as well be listening to another language. Went back to the local haunt for a few warm ups and a couple of games of pool. We then ended up at the cock and bottle. Easy day =)
... bread. We did have a little trip to Tesco in the middle since we didn't have a crusty loaf for the garlic bread. But once everything was said and done, we had made a beautiful meal and it was easily the best meal I had since I left the ship.
The perfect way to end such a lovely day was having a long chat to Edith and Dave. Those two are so amazing, I am so appreciative of their company and kindness towards me.
