    ... medical services available in eastern Europe, I am so glad I am getting this done here and not have something not so pleasant happen in a country where English is more a variety of muffin than a valid language.

    Anyways, the travel preparations continue; the finalising work is running at full steam ahead and all is good.

    ... at 1.45. We are up in the Emirates lounge and apparently will board from here as well, this is thanks to Gary's gold status that he has earned over many years of flying. Next time I post it might be in the Singapore stop for re fuelling or it might be Dubai, just depends on wifi ...

    ... the freebies we headed out to explore the city at night. We went for a wonder along the river bank and enjoyed the sights of the lit up skyscrapers that surrounded us. We came across a free ferry that took us down the river giving us a great view of Brisbane at night. After our enjoyable ferry ride we met Nathan's ex colleague Matt for a beer and a chat at the Pig and Whistle, an English pub in the centre of the main shopping complex.     ... found a spot on the riverside green and set up for dinner which was lovely, olives, marinaded peppers, salami and bread. Following dinner we made our way to the 'beach', put our bags under a palm tree on the sand and had a long swim in the beautiful warm water of the lagoon!! There was something so surreal about enjoying a swim outside around 8pm on a Friday night in February! Amazing. It is such a beautiful place it is hard to believe we were there! ...
