... go for (and expensive to get in), but one of Jerry's former graduate students, a Costa Rican, recommended it, and we found it fascinating. Beautifully done. Spectacular views of four (or is it five?) falls. Enclosures of butterflies, monkeys, various birds. I insisted that we skip the snakes. Already freaked out enough about those, and we head into the rain forest tomorrow WHERE THEY ARE KNOWN TO OCCUR. Deadly ones.

After spending a fantastic 3 days in New York, I took a flight to San Jose to start my jungle adventure. Arrived in San Jose around 4 am Zurich time and was picked up and driven to the hotel. It was a very spartan looking hotel but very authentic as well :-) I met some of the others that have taken the group and our guide but I was so tired that I couldn't remember anyone's names. ... you are sitting on the bow of a ship. We can see the ocean from our room but it is a few miles away. The place is very campy and really a place for experienced kiters who don't mind roughing it a bit. Needless to say I did not kite here.
