... go for (and expensive to get in), but one of Jerry's former graduate students, a Costa Rican, recommended it, and we found it fascinating. Beautifully done. Spectacular views of four (or is it five?) falls. Enclosures of butterflies, monkeys, various birds. I insisted that we skip the snakes. Already freaked out enough about those, and we head into the rain forest tomorrow WHERE THEY ARE KNOWN TO OCCUR. Deadly ones.

Arrived in San Jose around 4 am Zurich time and was picked up and driven to the hotel. It was a very spartan looking hotel but very authentic as well :-) I met some of the others that have taken the group and our guide but I was so tired that I couldn't remember anyone's names. ... you are sitting on the bow of a ship. We can see the ocean from our room but it is a few miles away. The place is very campy and really a place for experienced kiters who don't mind roughing it a bit. Needless to say I did not kite here.
