Only the three arches at the north end of the bridge remain from the original Roman construction, part of the Roman road between Braga and Astorga, in Spain.       ... Spanish children start school at 10am and finish at 5pm? It seems that families are dependant on grandparents to manage work, school and home life. Perhaps this is a hangover from rural days when people worked in the fields. Interestingly you do see a lot of Dads picking up children from school.
