    A brisk walk took us to the high point of Vigo. The Castro complex at the top of the hill overlooking the Ria de Vigo.

    The views are great and you can imagine the great sea battles of yesteryear with canon balls being shot at the galleons below.

    ... and and a half journey took us to the coastal town of A Guarda which is mainly a working fishing harbour. It's out of season now but we managed to find one place still open which sold seafood. Mussels, scallops and langoustines - excellent.

    There is a lovely coastal walk towards the border with Portugal where the waves crash in from the Atlantic. It's pretty undeveloped here and full of atmosphere.

    We caught the train down to Vigo on the coast this morning. It's a big city on the mouth of the Ria de Vigo and to cut a long story short, it has belted down with rain all day.

    ... terminal and out to the front of the terminal so we decided to go back inside the shopping centre and buy some pastries from the bakery. I bought some Halloween biscuits.     ... through the mountains and the landscape certainly did feel a little more familiar and indeed Celtic with the clay soil being replaced by lush greenery. Wanted to get to the campsite as our reservation wasn’t set in stone, but everything was fine when we got here. The campsite is in a fabulous location with amazing views from the camper itself.
