... greeted us with a picture perfect day and a stunning beach scene with mountains at both ends of the beach and yet another jam packed beach in between. It is very calm with just very slight waves coming through and a bunch of floating platforms with diving boards and slides on them about 80m off shore. They kids are going to love that. Our arrival also marked the start of their week long fiesta celebrations which we are not getting quite well drilled ...

... to Geoff that I thought Hendaye was in the opposite direction. Agreeing, we wait for the train to loop back or shunt out and then head towards its, in our minds, proper destination.

It was not to be and an announcement over the speaker system confirms our fears that this was the train to Paris!! Thankfully it stopped at Biarritz, where we got off waited and caught the train to Hendaye which we would and should have caught at St Jean which was running forty five minutes late. ...

Other buy tonight was a bottle of Chateau des Tours red from Cotes du Rhone. Guy told me that this wine is VERY good, their best wine is often compared to Grange. Let's see....much cheaper than Grange and I didn't buy the top one:-) page/product_id/1624/keyword//offset/23 ...
