      ... when the dog ran down it. I thought he was trying to kill the dog! But no. The dog was very athletic and brought the ball right back.       Ahh this is the South of France that we had hoped for! A clear blue sky with only the occasional white cloud scudding across . We set out , this time intent on a train journey, to Hendaye, a little town on the French /Spanish border for a day at the beach.

      Arriving at the station we purchase our tickets in a hurry noting from the information board that, the train to Hendaye will be a platform two NOW! We dash on glad to have caught it and settle down. As the train moves on, ...

      ... croquette. I'm gonna be dreaming of that for days to come! Sure, I didn't eat much, but it was sufficient to fill me up, and with a pretty decent glass of rosť for another €1 to wash it down, my total was €11.1 - really quite reasonable for gourmet food! It took all the self-restraint I had not to just eat more and more on my way back to the hostel...

      My other big outing was for a haircut. The girl cutting my hair spoke absolutely zero English. Was done via a photo of me with shorter hair. All good and cost €27
