... a large pool of water about 3 stories deep ( The Pool of Nectar ) and is reached by the Guru's bridge which is absolutely packed with devotees waiting to pass in to the temple. The temple houses the original Sikh holy book and a copy of it is taken over the bridge to be put to bed in another building every night. The dome is said to be covered in about 750 kg of gold and is absolutely spectacular.
