... of fun really. The boys enjoyed running their hands through the cool mountain water whilst Lucy and I did all the work! This will change in time...

Back at the house, we are packing as we have decided to leave tonight and avoid the heat of the day. The boys are expending energy in the paddling pool whilst Lucy uses the peace and quiet to repack our bags. It seems on our holidays that the bags never seem to stay empty for long.

A late breakfast at around 9am - we are getting lazier the longer we stay here and the more we relax! We had managed to book ourselves tickets for the Bear Cave for 12:25 so had the morning to kill playing badminton and reading. Today we moved east towards Stronie Sląskie, the same place we spent our holiday last year. The journey took around 3 hours along windy mountain roads and dense pine forests. At about the halfway point, we diverted slightly to visit the Góry Stołowe (Table Mountain) at Szczeliniec Wielki.

The hike climbs from Karłow up 665 steps to the highest point at 919 m above sea level. Once at the top, in order ...

... into a ranch house they’ve always wanted. Their story is quite amazing, considering that both of them are Music Academy Professors who live farmers’ lives. Iza directs a university chorus that has won many international awards. Darek is a great pianist and in addition to teaching college courses plays in a classical quartet. About 10 years ago Iza convinced her husband to buy a small cottage 45 minutes from their place of work. After fixing it up a bit ...
