... we had just missed our connection. No worries, there was a train to Eger, one hour later. Now that would be fine if you knew when you reached Fuzeabony; but train stops are not announced and sometimes you can't see the name of the station. We found a helpful conductor (rare) and he advised us the next stop in 5 minutes was ours. Thank God we had located him. The train usually only allows one minute for getting on and off, before it starts moving again, so you have to be ...

... magnificent pipes, echoing through the almost empty expanse inside the church. Bach's Suite number 3 in D major sent shivers down my spine!!

Finally we decided it was time for some wine tasting, so we made our way out of town on foot (only a couple of kms) to Szepasszony-völgy, aka Valley of the Beautiful Woman. Has a different ring to it than Hunter valley, or Margaret River! The origin behind the name is not entirely known. Some say Szépasszony was a prehistoric religious ...

... I swiped a parking bus, losing the side-view mirror in the process. Leaving me with 4 weeks of dodging the local authorities as we endeavour to complete our holiday without replacing it. Once arriving in Eger, our hotel proved a challenge to locate, tucked away in the cobblestone streets. Prioritising the days activities resulted in a walk to "The Valley of the Beautiful Women", which consists of a small valley filled with dozens of tiny wine cellars from Eger's ...
