      ... small. There are stairways and paths to take you to the roman style bath (pleasantly warm, clear water), the medicinal bath (also warm, but colored and scented, so we did not stay in there long), and the family bath (warm, clear water, with multiple passages and larger pool rooms, including one that was a dark dome on which they projected the night sky).

      The boys have been nervous about exploring caves, and I hoped that a good experience at the bath ...

      ... not tell if there was a way onto the highway in the direction of the mountains, so we stuck on the smaller road until it crossed the highway again and the entrance signs were more obvious. This of course proved to be a problem since it increased our drive time 10-15 minutes past when Laura felt we really should be at the ski area, for the 1/2 day ski pass, so the last few minutes of the drive until we saw the entrance sign were a bit tense ...

      ... because air dried t-shirts and underwear are kind of crunchy and uncomfortable without a little steam. It's a good thing people at Purdue are still pretty much leaving me alone, not sure how I would fit much real work into this domestic routine.

      It will be amazing if the cookies come out, since I still don't have any measuring cups or spoons (or scales), other than two 1000 mL liquid measures. I have estimated the volume of two spoons which are about 1/2 ...

In any case, Elza asked me if I wanted fruit or chocolate - I went for fruit since it was still kind of breakfast time in my world, so she chose an apple poppy seed cake. Don't think poppy seed muffin like we have at home - these were dense layers of ground poppy seed, which had a very earthy, almost coffee flavor.       We finished up our tour of Eger by continuing to meander around the town. It was really nice to be away from the big city, without a large list of sights and attractions that had to be seen ASAP.
