... from the feces and used to make the coffee. I ordered a Kopi Luwak together with a regular coffee to set a reference (I'm still a scientist :p). Apparently I was the only one doing that, because the lady had to get the regular coffee from another shop in town. The regular coffee makes a bad reference though, because the coffee here tastes not good without sugar and milk, but at least I would be able to compare. It is difficult to describe, but I clearly tasted a difference. ...

On our last day, our guide Thomas asked us if we wanted to go to the waterfall or go for another trek.
He totally tricked us into going on the hardest trek on the island.

... The bikes were rickety, with baskets on the front, and we rode along happily singing 'Do Rai me' ..... As we headed south and round to the West side the road got quieter; fewer guesthouses, fewer tourists and quieter beaches. The hotels got swankier and the restaurants dearer. ... feathers don't stand up on display in the same way - their long tail feathers simply stay at the back. Very beautiful colours and markings still. We also saw some of the elusive white faced gibbons - the ones who woke us up every morning. They are the coolest - it's like they're wearing a white furry trouser suit! We saw them from afar, and they were hard to see, but that made it all the more worthwhile!
