Yesterday, we flew from Pensacola, Florida to San Jose, Costa Rica. Our goal was to learn more about the Costa Rican people and their way of life. Secondarily, we hoped to find a better, more affordable place for us to share our common hobby of salt water fishing from the surf and from charter boats.

... bus to David, it was plain sailing, so to speak. From David it was straight onto a bus to Paso Canoas, the town which straddles the border with Costa Rica. I got my stamp out of Panama then walked 100 metres or so to the Costa Rican Immigration office. I never knew in between which country I was in.

Immigration was easy, no queue, but I did have to fill in some useless bit of paperwork and buy a bus ticket ...

... story of frame depicting Jesus' crucifixion, pretty cool way to get the story across. Took me back to my visit to the re-enactment in Itza Palapa in Mexico (see previous entry).
The highlight for me was the markets, was awesome to walk around and listen, smell and feel the culture. they sell everything here, from souvenirs to fish heads... A great place to have a traditional inexpensive lunch at one of the many Sodas. No idea why ...

We had a full moon last night and it shown across the ocean...truly breathtaking. I can see God in everything here. We heard from Tyler and he arrived home safely... both he and Lukie are now residing in Madison. I haven't heard from Jenna and Beth in a few days...they could either be in Nicaragua or possibly Puerto Viejo. Beth's family that she babysits for is in the Puerto Viejo ...
