I'm walking on sunshine wooah!

... and spent about 30 minutes in there looking at the buildings in the city square. All of them were built between 1694 and 1698 and all are very ornate with lots of gold and lots of detail. We also looked at a shop selling macrons but we were good girls and didn't buy any. A nice man helped us to find the right tram back to the Brussels Midi station and we set off again to board the Eurostar back to London. When we hopped off the train we headed down the Very Steep ...

Bussing with Tin Tin & the Smurfs

... square, it was surprising how many people were out in the streets. We passed many people just enjoying themselves in the cafes, socialising in groups and just sitting watching others. We passed some street dancers, hip hop with their loud music encouraging others to join them. We passed a band playing in the street with a crowd of people watch and dancing along.

-Chimay Tripel: only available in Belgium, this is the counterpart to the popular brand often found in small, boutique beer shops around in San Diego. At 8.7%, we're feeling good after this flowery explosion of a beer.
-Malheau Blonde: Standing strong at 10%, this beer is dubbed "Bad Luck Blonde". It is named because this pineapple tasting beer was ...

Sleepy Sunday

... being jostled. The people are also much more friendly (eg cheese men). And, of course, the chocolate is a MAJOR perk. I also love how the city is both dense and open. The buildings are all packed together, but the streets aren't too narrow. The prices aren't outrageous, and there are so many cute babies! Also, the city is really into promoting health--we saw lots of gyms, healthy food spots, and exercising locals. All in al, a fantastic introduction and first day in Brussels!
