... stating that we were tasting the less expensive wines first. That was clear when the waiter filled his own glass, only after we sampled the final four vinos. What a job. White wine? I've tasted sweeter vinegar. "You no like?", this rhetorical question was met with wincing and spluttering. Next, a red wine was poured into the same glass. The same glass, we were appalled! ... found the Espacio Contemporaneo de Arte, a modern art museum. The art itself didn't exactly blow me away, however the building it was in was fascinating. I was more interested in the archetecture than the art. It was in an old cathedral that had beautiful stained glass.

Mendoza was a precious city that has a lot to offer. However, I am ready to head south to get out of the heat! Next stop, as much of the Patagonia province I can get ...

... of the year... Get it? Haha :). The mountains were awesome, a different look from our Rockies - with desert flora and fauna, and pops of bright green, some trees had pretty yellow flowers - a nice landscape.

We stopped at a lookout point high above the Villavicencio hotel to get some pictures of the area. On the way back down we spied a llama on the mountainside and stopped to take some pictures - very cool! Our last stop was Villavicencio - a hotel built ...

... banana split between us. The ice cream was so tasty and just what we needed so we went to the restaurant across the road and got enchiladas to share. They were so tasty but we both only eat about a quarter of it then headed back to hostel feeling sick and sorry for ourselves. Hopefully tomorrow will be more fun ...

Vino Grande!

... shot we set off again. Another couple of winerys finshed both the day and us off, full of the joys we returned the bikes and caught the bus home.
That night a BBQ had been organised in the hostel by the stephan the live in german. The BBQ, company and wine made it a very agreeable night overall and a great finish to a boozy day.
A well needed sleep in was followed by a lazy Sunday as everything was closed. At 4pm we were picked up for ...
