... into the next table. So along came skipper to the rescue, providing first aid by icing the arm and trying to make a sling from his handkerchief. All the while Thurston was thinking about the next law suit. Little buddy is very happy that someone else is now in the firing line. Lots of laughs had by all of us.

Need to get some sleep as early morning tomorrow.

Upon our arrival in the coastal Austrian town of Rovinj, the owner of our apartment accommodation picked us up from the bus station. This was the start of the kindness we were shown by him and his wife. Our apartment was small, but big enough for the three of us with a washing machine the nice woman helped us turn on (it was fairly confusing), and a kitchen where we made dinner one night.

Today we started out by spending time in and by the water. We went back to the dock with great beach chairs that Ren and I found last night and we spent a few hours swimming and relaxing in the chairs. Drive to Trieste and park on the waterfront. The city is marking the 100th anniversary of the shooting of Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo. Four days after the shooting the bodies of the Archduke and his wife Sophie were carried across the Adriatic on an Austrian navy cruiser and landed at Trieste with great ceremony.
