... France which was fun for me to be the odd one out standing up and screaming when Germany got close to scoring again. I loved it, I loved it so much that I'd go to every World Cup. The game finished and it was time to brave the train back home. I knew that this time it would not be that easy. As we made the walk back to the station with 74,000 people it was packed. Eventually we made it to the platform and pushed our way onto the train. We had to stand but it wasnt super crowded. ...
... and enjoying the sun, it was 30 degrees, today we had a trip planned which started with a drive up to a vantage point to see Rio from on high then off to Christ the Redeemer, I loved it up there it's so big and special it's another tick off my bucket list! We then went down into town where we stopped off to see Rio cathedral which was cool, then drove to the maracana stadium which I guess is a tick off Simons bucket ...
... is one of the few where everybody seems to be focused on behaving responsibly and delivering what they set out to do. A lot of the credit for this should go to Scott, and also Patrick, who coordinated things locally during my time with the project. But there are so many people from the project that I'll miss a lot, particularly my dorm buddies like Kristine, Chris and Sarah. It's a shame to have to leave but that's the way it always goes.
