... frustration and confusion for those trying to better understand how something as horrific as the Holocaust could happen. It is difficult to comprehend what compelled some people to help those being persecuted, others to join the persecution, and the remainder to turn a blind eye. ... to be blown away as I entered the museum. I am looking at a giant gate, the Market Gate of Miletus, an important example of Roman Architecture and I feel as though I have entered another world, I am walking through a real Roman Gate into a Roman City. What a wonder it must have been in it' s day. Just when I think it cannot get any better we are at the Ishtar Gate of 6th century B.C. Babylon. It's size is overwhelming and it has been reconstructed from fragments ...
