After this we set the gps to travel to Michels. It wasn't very far, but took us longer than expected, because of a traffic holdup in Lille. It was a bad time of day, five o'clock. We finally made it to the village and thought we had the right place, but when we turned in the house looked much newer, and the man did not look like Michel! On the way to the boat we found a lace shop selling some beautiful shirts and other items of clothing. Jo went inside to look for a hand made lace hanky and I decided to try on a vest. It was very nice, white with the proper handmade lace and some embroidery. All was well until I tried to take it off and I realized that I was stuck inside it. ... to go to the Lille Flanders station - about 3 minutes walk away!!! Off we went, down the stairs, across the square, up the hill, across the road and finally, panting, to the station. With a nano-minute to spare we caught the train and continued our way to Brugge.
