As it was unclear when the damage on the road to Pucallpa would have been rectified, we decided to embrace the challenge in the locals' style and travel by bus until the roadblock, continue on foot and jump on another bus to Pucallpa at the other end of the landslide.

I finally arrived in Pucallpa round 5 am and waited for the sun to rise before finding a place to stay. It is hot and sunny and just what I needed! Here in the next few days I`ll be seeking out a boat where I can hang my hammock and make the five day float up to Iquitos... oooh yeah!
