... with us to cook us a BBQ feast. We depart back down the hill again to the local bottle shop and fill up the esky with beer and rum and meet our transport outside the bottleshop. Just one problem... apparently part of the road has been washed away, so as long as noone has any objections the van will take us part way, we'll need to walk across the broken road and pickup trucks will meet us on other side and continue the journey, sounds reasonable ...

... we left as soon as humanly possible by evening we found ourselves at the crossroads town of La Entrada. There are so few roads in Honduras that virtually all the traffic going through this part of the country has no choice to pass through. ... The horses all drank. On along the road to a field where we left 2 of the horses born 18 months ago. We'd brought with us. From here we stayed off the road heading up to the foothills with great views of the surrounding countryside. It was stunning. Helped by the sunshine, it seems they usually have 5 hot days then 5 cold wet days, cold being 15 degrees C.
