... We said a moderately sad farewell at the train station on the 27 July. I took a train, yes a train and not a bus, to the town of Quijarro on the Bolivian border.

After a night in the train I awoke on the 28 July to a sunrise over the tropical wetlands of Bolivia's Pantanal bordering Brazil. And so my time in Bolivia ended the way it started, driving in the middle of nowhere and looking out onto beautiful scenery and cholitas selling nuts.

... We had lunch here and took the obligatory touristy perspective photos before continuing onwards to the Isla Incahuasi (or La Isla del Pescado - fish island).
