... was melting quickly in the heat.Further down the valley, the small village of 'Covadonga' was a real gem. Here, there is a small church built into the cliff 100ft up, underneath which flows a waterfall that flows through the village below. Several passage ways run from the church and through the mountain to another church perched up on the hill.Stayed in the town of 'Cangas de Onis' which had a unique Roman bridge.

... we were content looking out the window at the beautiful scenery into the mountains. The road seems to be carved between huge peaks and the winding Deva River. At first it was glorious-so picturesque(though my photos do not do it justice due to the rain on the bus window). We were a bit surprised at how high and strong the river was moving. Na afloop hebben we nog op een terrasje heerlijk warme chocolademelk en icedcoffee gedronken.
Het was heerlijk weer en echt een perfect dagje. We hebben heel veel fotos gemaakt en de mooiste zijn 'speciaal voor U geselecteerd' en neergezet hieronder:)
Dit was dus nog even een mooie bonus om de week mee af te sluiten:D

A little bit of Sevilla in San Vicente
... to dance Sevillanas because in Sevilla, Sevillanas is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
What is Sevillanas you ask? Well, it is a type of flamenco and the dance of Feria de Abril in Sevilla. Maria, my host sister in Sevilla, tried to teach Melanie and I how to do it....and we FAILED. Well, to be fair, Melanie was pretty good! Jose Luis, who is our other "beginner" is hilarious ...

... in the tap and is impossible to repair as the connections are moulded into the plastic. So it was a quick trip to Canis de Onis to try and find a switch for a makeshift repair.
We managed to get a small switch from a hardware shop through sign language and drawings. Back at the campsite I rigged it up so that you have to flick the switch on and off to start and stop the water flow. A bodge I know but hey it ...
