... what we read on Wikipedia (yes lots of details, I am on a 10 hour flight now). So then we see this guy in leopard shirt, pink leggings, slippers, and something on his head, and the other guy is using packing tape to tape this carton to his arm! And they roll out this big scroll and post it on the tree, and here it all begins, you could not buy this kind of entertainment people, it was awesome! Pictures attached! Oh and I have to also go back and add pics of the people in mark's Pisa ...

... city and a bigger sense of loss when we realised the price!

Having totally blown our budget for the day, we decided to carry on spending and just enjoy (Venice is Italy’s most expensive city). We made our way to the central Piazza San Marco and saw the Basilico of San Marco, before finding an out of the way stop for lunch and enjoyed some proper Italian cuisine.

... all had. A few Margaritas later, (Deb) and wines later (Sam) we drop our purchases upstairs and make our way out for dinner. A stroll through the lanes until we find a restaurant that will cook grilled sole for Sam. ... and are for the water buses, or vaporetto. There are routes, all planned out to cover most of the canals etc. and at every stop the water bus slams into the floating platform rather than just stops. There is then about 3 minutes for people to get on and off before it goes on. Quite interesting.
The water is just like any really busy road with water buses, taxis, speed boats, pleasure craft, ...
