Arrived here at lunch time, unexpected peace and quite in run down motorhome only campsite. Was going to have given the place a miss and gone for the more traditional all singing and dancing over priced Italian campsite. Glad we didn't, in small field next to lake only two other vans. Very pretty. Went into local village. Chilled by lake eating ice cream, heaven on sore ...

... godfather 2 script), sets and costumes. They had the alien from Aliens, Robocop and pre-production masks from Star Wars. Costumes from gangs of New York and Oscar dresses worn my best actress winners. We were both star struck! We ate a slow food trattoria in the piazza and it was really lovely...a great last supper in Turin! Tomorrow we head to piemonte wine region to a b&b for 4 nights - after that we leave Italy and head to France for the remainder of our trip. ...

... and the next being 13:35, crazy, there was meant to be an alternative bus at 10:19 but this never showed so we had to wait for the 13:35, luckily the buses ran late enough for us to get back...

Turin, is a lovely city which hasn't been over-run by tourists, which is always a good thing!

Asti

From Pavia, we headed to Asti, Originally we were heading for a Vin Yard with the ability for an overnight stop with facilities (from our camperdstop book), sadly we got there and there was nothing so headed for our alternative Campeggio Cagnidi Asti - It was a predominately permanent vans but with a few touring pitches.

We didn't actually do anything here so nothing to report - Just a pin in the map.
