... again us two with Michael, to get food and get ready for the bus. Me and Mike made a series of sandwiches and we all had quick showers. Our taxi to the bus station soon came (driven by the same guy as before) and we all said goodbye to Axel and piled in. We arrived at the bus station and got on the bus with no hassle. The bus ride was four hours but everyone slept almost the entire ...

We started off the day by visiting Palacio Real - the Royal Palace. The palace in its current state was built by King Philip V. Philip V was the grandson of Louis XIV and was born in Versailles, so he wanted something that mimicked his upbringing. It was pretty spectular! While we were not allowed to tour all 2,800 rooms, we were able to see some of the highlights including the Throne Room (probably our favorite), Charles III's bedroom where he died in 1788, ...

It's the little things like being called amigo (friend) that make your day.
I knew there was a bunch of museums in the area, so I went to find me one. Unfortunately the only one I found was the Reina Sophia modern art gallery. Now this was ...

I enjoyed a good nights sleep ready to hit the road quite early for a trip to Toledo. Toledo is an old, walled, medieval city perched high on rock and is well worth a visit. We had elected to go there on an organised half day tour which I think was a good idea for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the bus drove us up the steep hill, and secondly, the city itself is like a ...

... Spanish night life on two occasions, both at the same place. A discoteca called Kapital is one of the most popular dance/night clubs in Madrid, and has 7 stories of dance floors, bars, lounge areas, etc.. It was unreal the kind of craziness that occurred there, just with the dancing alone! It was so high-tech and so much fun! One night, I was out until 5:30 am....but we didn't leave for the club until midnight so in that case....wasn't TOO late right? (no ...
